They are at least 2-3 sizes too small! I read the reviews so I knew this and for my 11 year old I bought the extra large sizes 16 to 18 and although he normally wears a size 12 they fit him well. If you want loose boxer shorts then these are not for you. Also, the ones we ordered don't have a fly hole in the front. Other than that, they are great boxers. I have ordered them in the past and will continue to order them for him as long as I know they will fit him. There are some negative reviews about the sizing, but if you spend a few minutes reading the reviews, you'll find out pretty quickly that you need to increase the size, and then you're good to go.
