I replaced old 12v chargers in my truck with this charger connector and one for my car. All ports load when something is plugged into them, but I can't comment on loading speed or duration at the moment. The stem on them is slightly larger than a standard 12V cigarette lighter so I had to sand the plastic a little with a rotary tool. Very little adjustment and now it fits perfectly. Looks like this place is there.
