I'm a marine biologist, and I have a soft spot in my heart for things marine. I jumped at the chance to look over this set of marine animals.All too often these kinds of sets just come across as cheap and tossable. This set, however is one that is likely to be part of any child's toy collection for years to come.I was pleased to see a nice assortment of marine critters in this set that are often overlooked.an eel, a nice octopus, a ray, sawfish, etc.Each piece is also large enough that there is no choking hazard and are nice for hands, small and large.I do have to admit that I was surprised when I opened the package. There was a plastic bag containing the set, and each individual piece also had it's own small plastic sac. That's too much plastic for me. The large amount of plastic packaging is the only down side for me with this product. But not enough to lose any stars.
