Pros: I've only washed it in the top rack of the dishwasher and it cleaned great including the Lid . The wide opening of any sports bottle or water bottle was just that, too close to the flip top, and after a few sips I found that my dirty finger/thumb had brushed against my mouthpiece when opening the flip top to drink. many people wouldn't mind that and that would be ideal for them, but . I have several pets, I have children and I have a food allergy that is fatal. I also know that I take it with me around town. I can't wash my hands often and touch goods, money, car doors, steering wheels, other people. dogs, at the doctor's office or just at the local market, I don't want my dirty fingers touching the part of my mouth where I drink. It doesn't meet my hygiene standards. However, my son loves it and says he will take it because it is the most perfect water bottle he has ever used, especially as it allows the water to be clear and fresh and he has no problem pouring it out of the sink to drink who brushes his dirty hands. What he's saying is that not only am I having a hard time, he is, too, and he's also touching the mouthpiece with his dirty fingers. I love most Sistema products and own dozens of their products, they never lick me and I specifically look for something in the Sistemas collection first.
