Review on High-Quality BUD Industries CH 14403 Aluminum Chassis: Optimal Construction and Design by Daryl Fitch

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Poor workmanship

This is the second one I've bought (shame on me for the second time)! The first might have been a quality control error (who is doing this crap on purpose) but the second is the same (ordered a few months apart). can make it safer and look better. The chassis simply folds into position - no welds or bolts to stiffen it - I think there should be something in the cover holding the chassis together (weak). come with a lid, so add that to the cost (they have a choice of two—solid and vented, for an additional $18 each). Price is high for what you get when you still have to work to finish it (I welded the back of the corners together to make it more durable) - Just tired of the poor build quality you get today - companies seem not doing it don't care about her anymore. It's hard to find a solid bottomed rackmount chassis of this size so this is probably the best you can get - just something to think about before you buy!

Pros
  • Measures 17" wide by 3-1/2" tall by 8" deep
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
