not bad but not keen on them

Was looking for a replacement for my favorite training shorts - basic Adidas 3-Stripes with nice deep pockets and 8 inches -Inseam . Great for workouts, running or just lounging. Most of the new shorts seem to be very long, but I'm not a basketball player and they look silly on me. Just got them, just put them on to see how they fit/feel, haven't really worked in them or owned them but here are my first impressions: PROS: - Love how they look, feel and sit . With my shape, super long shorts don't suit me and I think it's the perfect length. The fabric feels nice - not too thin, not too stiff. - I like it. The logo is quite small and unobtrusive. Some of the shorts I looked at have huge logos and look awful. Many others have mentioned that the pockets are really uncomfortable. They're too narrow to fit in your hands, so getting anything other than tall and narrow, like your phone, is problematic. - Shoelaces - first of all, that's my personal preference, but I don't like it. that they are outside. More importantly, as others have pointed out, the laces are separate and sewn into the sides, increasing the risk of failure as some people have experienced - poor design. - There are also some care instructions on the packaging which I really didn't expect for workout gear (which I expect to be a bit more durable) - No detergent, just cold water, tumble dry low. the picture is attached. Overall they're not bad for $30 but I think I'll return them - I don't like them and their durability seems questionable. If they fix the pockets and drawstring issue I would consider buying them again. But there are other shorts in the $20 range that I will try.
