I used to use this quite often as an energy boost but have since stopped. Honestly, it will certainly give you energy, but it's a completely different type of energy than I imagine. Under normal conditions, phenylethylamine (PEA) is rapidly metabolized by enzymes in the intestine - within 15 minutes the body can turn a small dose into nothing. This leaves you with two choices - overload the ability of the enzymes in your gut to break down PEA, or selectively turn off a particular group of enzymes that are particularly effective at neutralizing PEA. The first strategy is what the standard dose does - minimally. Amount to give you an energy boost beyond 15-30m. However, if you deviate from it, it will increase energy, but this is a shotgun blast of amines into your body, which means it is an ideal remedy for a hypertensive and inflammatory crisis. The second strategy works well but requires an additional supplement that comes with other risks. After using this for over a year and seeing what it does I don't think it's a great product. However, it works by itself - I would just be cautious about adding it.
