I have both rheumatoid and osteoarthritis in my right knee and nothing in my collection of knee braces was helping the pain. I bought a 2X because the knee is so swollen (it's important to follow the sizing guide and measure before buying). When the brace arrived I was doubtful it would help because of its light weight and lack of stiffness. I have no idea what the copper in the construction is supposed to do, but I can attest to this: it is lightweight and comfortable to wear all day long, the two silicone bands around the top keep it from rolling or sliding, it has decreased my pain level from exclaiming whenever I stand or sit to just mild discomfort. I've ordered a second one so there's one to wash and one to wear. Highly recommend!
