Pros: They block almost all light (I think around 85-90 percent). I probably couldn't have done better if I hadn't sealed my windows with a physical barrier. Now I can sleep easily during the day. Easy and quick to install, although the tape has caught the edges of my fingers more than once and it's STICKY! In my experience, glue works well. After 2 years of use they haven't even started to peel off. Cons: Only lasted 2 years before completely falling apart (see photo). After about 1 year of use they started to tear badly along the creases (and became less effective) and then all of a sudden they just tore in many places and became unusable. It is worth noting that the part that fell apart was exposed to the sun daily and directly. The one without direct irradiation did not have a single crack after 2 years. Direct sunlight is of paramount importance. Again, these are tinted sun visors, so I haven't abused them. I had to put mine outside of the normal curtains due to installation restrictions, but I preferred that this is better as I can close the normal curtains over it to still have a nice view in the room. I imagine they would have lasted much longer had they been installed in regular shades. The glue of the old ones did not come off easily. It is impossible to detach. I would definitely have to use a very abrasive cleaner to remove it. I didn't bother as I simply applied more of the same glue with new ones. But one day I will suffer for it. The new design removes the cable and uses these clips instead. The clips are annoying, take longer to adjust, difficult to adjust when the regular lampshade is at the same height as the dimmable lampshade, and are easy to push away from the lampshade causing it to detach. Also, they look a lot stickier. This is quite a big drop in quality from the previous design. All in all I don't think I'll be buying them again in a year or two when they wear out. again. I've been on the fence before, but this redesign is bullshit.
