Review on 🐶 Browning Dog Hunting Vest in Safety Orange - Large, for Enhanced Dog Protection by Debbie Daly

I bought this for my 10 month old yellow lab who just completed 5 month gun dog training. I took him on our first pigeon hunt on public land with two other hunters I had never hunted with. I wanted to make sure he was as safe as possible with other hunters in case he collapsed while hunting. These vests seem to come in 3 different styles: back armor, chest armor, and full armor. The back cover makes the dog more visible when in front of the hunters, below them or just about to enter the water. The chest cover has slightly less visibility behind and above the dog but provides chest protection. Full coverage is great when your dog is in heavy bush or very cold outside, and has all the benefits of the other two options. I chose this vest because I needed chest protection and I was concerned that hunters would shoot all over the field while my dog got close to catch the bird. This vest worked great! It's lightweight, well-made and very eye-catching. And as I had hoped, the high visibility of this vest actually prevented another hunter from pulling the trigger towards my dog while retrieving. He came to me after a hunt to say he was glad my dog was wearing this vest. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I wish the vest had something more substantial or wider than three straps.
