The sound is mono, but in fact there are signs of depth, sound propagation is even when lying down, a feeling of massive acoustics, especially in nature. Bass is a feature of bose, so there is no point in talking about it, everything is at the same level, the wow effect is in place. Of all the kids that I listened to, this one is a couple of heads higher, and I don’t mean loudness in decibels, I mean the thrill of listening, when you want to listen to music, not just in the background, but directly listen and get high with details, depth, frequency range, you don’t usually expect this from speakers of this size. For this reason, from the kids, I once preferred the Harman Kardon Esquire mini, where the frequency range is limited from below, but there is real stereo, which is naturally felt only “on the forehead”, for some time it suited me. In bose, a full-fledged musical system was squeezed out of mono, with good, deep bottoms, detail and sufficient volume. The bonus here is a very nice / rubberized body material, freedom within IPX7, a well-thought-out mounting solution. The autonomy was especially surprising, it was announced 6 hours, apparently at full volume, because at 40% volume the speaker played for 10 hours and 60% of the charge remained (no exaggeration), apparently it’s more correct to say - from 6 hours, not up to 6 hours. I recommend it to fans of hiking, traveling, cycling, etc.
