Please note that the size I received (shoe size 12-6) falls within a wide range. So you should expect the socks to be great if your child wears size 48 shoes like my daughter did. But she just pulls them up and they work great. Even great because it seems that these socks will last a long time and they were designed for her school uniform. Uniforms are expensive. My strategy is that if there's a right size, even if it's a little big right now, I'll go with that size, not the perfect size to fit year-round.
