works great. I have an old aquarium and it had too much neon lighting. It allows me to adjust the brightness and also has several different hues. I usually stick with white but at least I can adjust the brightness because my fish didn't like the fluorescent brightness. I would recommend it. I chose this one, there are so many, because of the detailed review that highly recommended it. And since I really don't know anything about the technical part of all this, I went through his review and I'm glad.
