Overall I'm happy with the lighting but the instructions suck! They are as low as possible. There is no template for the hole, no indication of the size of the hole (3 1/8 btw not an available hole saw size.). If I installed them in drywall it would be easier but they don't fit, they fit 3/4 into the tongue and groove of the pine. There are no instructions on how to hook it up (a youtube video solved this issue) and there is no list of dimmers that will work with these lights.
