After struggling with this thing on the lid of the KE03A for more than half an hour, I finally figured out how to install it. Spray the groove with vegetable oil and then begin inserting the ring into the groove in four different places, inserting each quarter of the circle into the groove independently. If you start at one end and just go around the ring, the ring will appear a full 5cm too big. Now that I figured out the "trick" to installing it, I won't be so upset about having to remove the ring to clean the lid in the future.
