OK for activity tracking, terrible for sleep tracking

So it seems to be tracking activity. Since it doesn't have GPS or a heart rate monitor, it's mostly powered by movement. We did some activities that were fairly strenuous but didn't require much arm movement and didn't register as activity. This is especially true for cycling when arms are mostly fixed and still, but I've noticed it even with activities like softball, where my daughter plays most of the time, doesn't register her as active (because there's a lot of movement). ). waiting in the field). SLEEP TRACKING: It stinks. It has an idea of when you're going to sleep and seems to base its tracking on that. Basically, it's believed that you're sleeping when you're fairly quiet and it happens while you're sleeping. Good. The problem is that when you sleep but move a little or get up at 5am, go to the bathroom and go back to sleep, for example, nothing registers as a dream after that bathroom break. I saw her just roll over, get comfortable at 7am and go back to sleep by 8:30am, but she showed that she woke up at 7am and didn't include any time after that in her sleep calculation. She's missed a total of 8 hours of sleep this week alone. As a parent, a big reason to buy this was to make sure she was getting enough sleep. Overall this is a one star product. I started it 3 times because my daughter loves the clock, she loves the chores part and loves the activities you earn in the app (little games) if you are active enough.
