Very learned and tall. does the job!

Just what I needed for my leather patcher. There were no assembly instructions in the kit, but it seemed pretty easy. I apologize in advance if I misname any of these parts. Some reviewers thought it was missing parts, so should come with loose parts: 2 leadscrews (body) with 1 nut each 2 small spindles with 1 nut each 1x lock washer each 1x washer 1x each base reel seat 2x "felt" - Spacers 2x Serrated Washers 2x Wing Nuts 2x Cages 2x Threaded Eyelets 1x Base Plate Tools Needed: Small adjustable crescent wrench Drill 3x Wood Screws (to attach to table) From the box it is partially assembled, with a nut on each axis of the body and a flat washer with a nut and a Lock washer on each spindle holding the spool. I collected from the top down. Thread the notched washer onto the top of the thinner spindle, on the side with the longer threads. Add opposite thread holding loops. Plaid bodice, make sure the slits go around the feathers and stems of the stitches, keeping them vertical. Then tighten the wing nut from above. See Figure 1. I still have the cage, splined washer, and wing nut. Comes with extras - good to have. Insert the thinner body spindle into the base holding the coil and tighten the screw when they are aligned as desired. at an angle, and you probably won't use it that much that you'll have to rotate them that much. Personal preference? In any case, place felt pads in the holes and thread the threaded portion of each spindle through them. From underneath, add a flat washer, a lockwasher if used, and then a nut and tighten. Now insert the larger spindle into the hole at the bottom of the spool holder. You may need to loosen the set screw and then tighten it again. Finally screw the whole thing loosely onto the base plate. Find out where you want it on your desk, unscrew it and screw the screws into the base plate. Now you can screw it back on and tighten the screw when it's lined up the way you want it. I hope this helps someone.

Pros
  • Full metal thread stand with 2 spools
Cons
  • There are new competitors
