Great mount but takes 15 minutes to use original ceiling plate
This is a great mount, strong, easy to use and allows for a variety of mounting configurations. I highly recommend the mount. However, you're missing out on a much cleaner and more professional installation if you don't take a few extra minutes to use your existing ceiling tiles in your final installation. Simply line up your original fiberglass tile with the 2x2 steel plate and trim the tile around the base of the bracket before connecting the base to the plate and place the original tile under the reinforced plate.
