Let's be honest, 5 stars doesn't mean this item is fantastic in every way. What that really means is that for the price you pay, it lives up to expectations and in some respects even exceeds them. My new monitor doesn't have speakers and I usually wear a headset, but for surfing the web, watching videos, etc. I was looking for something cheap that just worked. It was both. They are very light, easy to assemble and the front grille looks very nice. Honestly, the LED lights on the sides were late. This thing was $15 and I was looking for a cheaper one so I would have bought it without them. However, they're a nice little touch *that you can turn off* if you'd like. They are not as bright as mine and cannot be adjusted, they shimmer in different colors, both monochromatic and iridescent. Sound. It s cheap. Sounds cheap. The louder you get, the cheaper it sounds and it can get really loud. If you're looking for audiophile quality, look elsewhere. If you're looking for adequate ones, this isn't bad. For a laptop this would be the perfect compliment, for a desktop it's probably not something you want to use 100% of the time, especially if you're playing games. These are YouTube, Twich, web surfing, casual music listening, like speakers. Spend a few bucks more on gaming and get a decent system with a subwoofer. Even a cheap $50 system will give you vastly improved performance and sound. Anyway, they did exactly what I wanted, hence 5 stars, YMMV.
