Not the best value for money but everything works great ** September 2018 Update **

** September 2018 Update (Full Size SUV & Sedan) One of the glove's seams came undone and the glove fell off a part. I was able to sew it back on but I'm a little annoyed that the glove lasted less than 20+ uses. Nothing I would give a star or anything for, just a little disappointed that the glove really isn't of better quality than what is commonly available. I stuffed it with a sponge and sewed it up so it now looks more like a microfiber sponge than a mitten. I finally ran out of soap. It's great, restores the car's shine better than anything sold at your local auto parts store, and just one ounce is enough for an entire 5 gallon bucket. Just ordered some more to replace.--Original review--Pros: Good quality bucket with strong lid Soap should last for 16 car washes Good glove Cons: It's a bit expensive Mudflap is a little painful to remove, without having to remove it Turn the bucket over. Summary: I bought this kit mainly because I needed a mud flap. But most mudflap reviews say it doesn't fit the standard 5 gallon HD/Lowes buckets very well and needs some modification to get a better fit. I didn't feel like messing with it, so I figured I'd just buy this set with the branded bucket and get some other goodies. The dirt filter is perfect for this bucket. Due to its construction, it catches a lot of dirt at the bottom of the bucket. But I wash using the two-bucket method, so most of the dirt still ends up in the rinse bucket. The only downside is the mud flap fits so snugly that it's difficult to remove without flipping the bucket. I've seen photos of others who have drilled holes in it and added a zip tie as a loop for easy removal, but since I have no reason to take the thing out during a car wash I left it as is. The bucket is slightly shorter than a standard 5 gallon bucket but strong. The lid is also pretty thick. I thought I'd use it as a seat when cleaning wheels and such, but found I still needed soapy water in the wheel arch, so I didn't use it for that purpose. The lid was mostly used by my kids as a frisbee while I was washing my car. The soap lathers well and gives the car a nice shine. The lemony smell is kind of a trick since I don't sniff cars for that "just washed" smell. The glove feels high quality. But it hurts me trying to put my hand in the mitten when it gets wet. And it doesn't seem like anything better than the standard stuff you can buy from Wallyworld. Overall the individual items are good and I am happy with everything but it lacks value for money. If I had to do it all over again, I'd probably just buy the mudflap myself and save a few bucks.

Pros
  • Rugged Construction
Cons
  • No Automatic
