So I dared to read a review saying that's what you get have been made in China. Metabo and Hitachi were bought by an American investment company, which relocated both operations to China. However, there is still a large number of products that are made in Germany and assembled in Europe. This is one of them, at least I have it. The drill is made in Germany, the battery is made in Germany and assembled in Hungary. I don't know if he was unlucky and they sent him a Chinese made model but I doubt the price of this listing will be typical, the German made models are a bit more expensive. If not, and you receive a Chinese model, send it back, the quality is not the same. But the one I got is exactly the same. And I don't want to go into details, but it's important to me because most tools are made in China now including Milwaukee, Makita, most Bosch, some Dewalt and most other brands are made in China and the quality suffers.
