The stools are of high quality. durable and heavy. While not "easy to assemble," they certainly weren't difficult to assemble. It just takes a little time and common sense (because the instructions are without words. Some illustrations). Lots of screws are involved, but that makes them very strong. Two screws where most cheaper stools only have one. The seats could be a bit softer in my personal opinion, but they're definitely good. I'm sure a lot of people would love them the way they are and would complain a little if I liked them.
