Review on Glyph Atom RAID SSD Silver (External USB-C by Mark Bearden

Bought the 2TB version during the Black Friday sale for $429 which is a STEAL considering the price was 800 a few months ago US dollars (now US$629). First, let me say that this SSD is INCREDIBLY FAST. I'm using it with a 2016 15" MacBook Pro. On the Black Magic Disk speed test, I get 833 MB/s writing and 880 MB/s reading. I have a 45 GB Final Cut Pro Library file from the internal SSD transferred my MBP to it and it took 52 seconds, do the math backwards... 45GB / 52 seconds is 0.865 (GB/s) which makes sense because it's 865 (MB/s) which is even faster than the 833 (MB /s) Write speed I got with the Black Magic hard drive speed test. It's insane. This drive transfers 86.5% of 1GB per second. Only $429 for 2TB of that was a steal. It's the usual $629 absolutely value.
