This stand did exactly what it promised. The controller fits perfectly into the charging port. It's plastic and you need to insert the base when it comes out of the box. So far I haven't had any problems with it. It seems to charge normally. I used rechargeable batteries and the battery life seemed comparable. The only drawback is that there is no charger included. It came with a USB charging cable so I just used it on my laptop until I found a wall charger. I'm deducting a star for that because it's very important.
