Economical alternative compared to OEM replacement cost. Cons: The protective part lacks precision in the manufacturing process. Had to remove/modify/bend the shield and drill an additional hole to align the shield so the exhaust port matches the muffler exhaust port. The problem lies in the alignment of the wire bends and the spot welding of the seams in the wire portion of this assembly. The actual muffler part is fine and the exhaust manifold is perfectly aligned. If you're worried about looking perfect, spend $$ on an OEM purchase. Otherwise, it is a viable and economical substitute. After a few years, I can afford to replace it again if necessary.
