I've had it for about a month and it seems to be working fine. To me the siren is quite loud (similar to ordinary home smoke alarms) and as it is a removable device there are no installation issues. I keep mine in the kitchen to keep track of the gas range which has increased over the years. I also used a marker to date the back of the unit so I know how long it has been in use. My only issues with this unit are that it's too bulky to use with a dual socket with any other plug-in. Sometimes I need to disable it to enable another tool/device. It also takes a few minutes to install every time it is turned on after being unplugged. So keep that in mind.
