I am happy to wait before writing a review until I have used the product for a while and seen how it works. I bought this for my son to take to preschool about a year and a half ago and except for summer vacation and some holidays it is used 5 times a week and washed every week. Use it again for the coming school year. There is no need to replace it. I definitely feel like I got my money's worth in terms of functionality. However, it is very faded. I don't care as it doesn't affect the use of the product but it wasn't cheap. For the price I paid I expected the colors to last longer. It was quite expensive and only a year old but looks like I paid $20 and have been using it for 10 years now. To wash, I ran the cold water soak/delicate cycle and set the dryer to air dry/no heat. DO NOT WASH THE CUSHION, it is removable so take it out before washing the rug. I accidentally forgot the pillow one day while washing it and it blew the filling all over my washing machine because the pillow itself is made of very thin material. I had to gather all the filling but I managed to put it back in the pillow and it still fits in the slot on the rug so it all worked out. My son started using it at 3 years old and is still using it at 4. I expect to use it until he is 5 years old. He likes it, he says it's comfortable and he still sits in it (he's of average height). It folds easily but is quite large when folded. Won't fit in a 4 year old's backpack and is a bit too big to carry alone. So if you are concerned about durability this is a great rug. But if it's important to you that it still looks new, try a different rug.
