How many times have you gone to bed and left your garage door open all night? My answer: too often, so I figured a low-tech approach would be good. I installed this little mirror under our eaves where there is a line of sight from our kitchen to tell if the door is open or closed. sloping eaves, but by adding my own screw I was able to get the job done with as little detail as possible. The product itself appears well made, durable and in the 5 weeks it has been hanging under my sim it has remained clean, crack free and useful. In hindsight a flat mirror would have been better for this purpose as a convex mirror makes the garage door parts appear quite small. A larger mirror would not fit or rather look odd. I'll probably end up adding a garage door tilt sensor or alarm contacts. But it's fairly functional, low-tech, and unlikely to ever fail.
