I needed to mail a book that was 10" wide, so these envelopes were great at the 10.5" width. My only complaint was that the adhesive for some of them leaked outside of the protective cover and they were stuck together. When you pulled them apart, it left sticky adhesive on the outside of the previous envelope. It was also hard to get little slip of plastic that covered the adhesive off of some of them. It was almost like they got hot and so the adhesive melted making it stick extra hard to the plastic cover as well as leak out around it and stick to the neighboring envelopes. This was only the case for about 25-30% of them, and the rest were fine. All in all, I was able to use all of them, it was just a little more work for some of them.
