I have a Wahl KM-2 clipper that is about 16 years old but is noisy. I took a 10 year old Rescue Cocker Spaniel and the noise scared him to death so I called Val for a recommendation - they suggested the ARCO Professional Clippers. He didn't cut my dog's hair - and it took a long time to just rip his hair off - he looked choppy and I wasn't happy with that at all. Also, combs are plastic and don't last long. The blade is a 5-in-1 blade (you can adjust it on the fly), which I think is a problem - just not as good as detachable blades. Plus, it's wireless, which means less power. It just can't be compared to Wahl corded clippers with old-fashioned detachable blades. I will keep hunting.
