If this suits your lamp, then it is a good purchase. I have three Ott lamps; one or two of them may be Otts. But this product lasts a long time. I use these bulbs every day for a few hours and have only had to buy bulbs a few times. I usually buy two to keep one in the closet. This type of lamp is very ergonomic: very small footprint, stands on the floor without occupying a table, adjustable to hang on a chair, easy access to turn on and off. These lamps do not match the decor I know. They look very modern, with thin, clean lines. They don't match the decor of my 1920's Chinese porcelain lamps, but they are far more useful than these beautiful, useless Chinese lamps.
