So, first things first, I'll tell you what I liked about these great value bedside lamps. These lights are of pretty good quality and cost $10.99. I installed them today and I really like how they look and work. They emit a whitish-blue light that is very pleasing to the eye at night. Don't look at them directly (like me) but I was really surprised at how bright they are. It was no problem lighting my entire long bed as they have a wide bay pattern that spreads out well on the back of the truck. Let's get down to the details. those headlights (for extra lighting) or rearrange the headlights you currently need on almost every car. Literally plug and play. The kit comes with a standard 20Amp lighted rectangular switch. I used a modified round switch I had laying around for ease of installation. Two core cable 22AWG. a bit small but when they only carry about a third of an amp for the whole circuit so what else can you expect. The housings of the LED lights are made of plastic, and the housings themselves have a hole for a mounting screw between the second and third lights. There were two things I didn't like about the lanterns. appear to be 3m quality and the wire connections to the light housings appear to be quite flimsy. First off the sticky pads aren't even labeled 3m and again only lasted about 4 hours before letting go and falling into my bed. I completed this installation using small self tapping screws to attach to the underside of the bed rail for permanent fixation. Second, I pulled the thread with light force to tighten them for assembly and when I was done I turned on the light and it only turned on 1 light (indicating some kind of open circuit). I traced it to the second connector right in the lantern's body, and when I pressed it the light came on. In short, be careful with them. They are definitely not indestructible and I definitely wouldn't mount them on the outside of the car as damage is inevitable. I ordered another set to steal one of the bulbs and replace the rest if they burn out. when they burn out. Additionally. I would like the manufacturer to make these wires black as most trucks have black body pads. The white wires stick out like a sore thumb and this eliminates the need for a separate loom to hide them. I know this is a long review but overall I love these lights and for the price I would have no hesitation in recommending them or ordering more.
