I followed the instructions and assembled it (without screwing the basket) to get the right height. Then, per the instructions, I lengthened the top an extra inch to provide tension to hold it in place. THEN I screwed the baskets in place. When I put him in the shower he wobbled. A lot of. And the rod itself is clearly bent / bent. So I decided to increase the tension by stretching the top bar and inserting the small spacer bar that came with it. I was upset that I had to unscrew and remeasure the baskets (to make sure they were evenly spaced), but I was willing to do it. FURTHERMORE. The upper pole could no longer expand. Why? Because I screwed the basket on and the screw left a small dent in the bar. This prevented the extension from slipping back. Now this product is practically useless to me. I hoped that would be enough for us for several years, but not a day had passed. It was a waste of money. This was my first experience with an InterDesign product and will be my last.
