I like that it allows us as developers, designers etc., who don't have access to each other's code bases fulltime, but do need an easy way of accessing them from our own workstations. Also, being able for people outside my team (who are not allowed direct access) to be part of discussions via chat makes me happy! It can be difficult when we want someone else on another continent/country/state away to join an ongoing conversation with others - they cant just click "join" or something similar straightaway like you could if everyone was local :) This seems quite minor now though, perhaps due to familiarity :). A little more support would also help. As mentioned previously, this isn't really intended for remote workers so there aren't many advantages over existing solutions where those staff members already live locally. We use area 28 mainly to communicate design ideas between different departments within the same office, which helps.
