If you move this strip wrong.connections break

Attempted to string these lights on the underside of theater chairs. First off when I tried to peel the paper off the adhesive.the adhesive stuck to the paper and not the light strip. So in my idea.I would just staple the lights in place. I accidentally put a staple through the cord.so this seller/company supplies you cheap plastic clips to meld 2 cables together.ummm very cheap clips.I tried doing a straight cut on the light strip and tried a 45 degree angle cut on the light strip.I did this every 3 inches.until I lost about 3 feet of the light strip. This is really piece of stuff product that requires white gloves and minimal movement of the strip or you break connections.
