We have a tile floor and my dog is getting old and his back legs sometimes slip off when he's in a hurry. These socks worked great. However, we felt that we had to take them off every time she went outside so they would last longer and not slide through the mud and grass. Even when we left our dog at home alone, she took off her socks. We ended up attaching velcro at the top and then she couldn't take them off, but then it was even more difficult to take them off before we took them outside.
