I've had them on my MKIV 2001 VW GTI GLX VR6 for about 2 months and they work great and look great. Keep in mind that you may need to play with it a bit to get it seated properly without popping out. I would also recommend putting a drop of super glue between the black lens and the plastic base. During installation, the lenses fell out a couple of times, and I taped them so as not to lose them on the street. They seem cheap because they are, but they work great and don't look cheap once installed. I definitely recommend them, they definitely make the side markers look smoother.
