I have Wansview Q5 and Q6 internal cameras which I am very happy with. Recently one of my street cams stopped working. Since I liked the Q5 and Q6 indoor cameras, I decided on the Wansview W4 outdoor camera. The W4 has a nice long power cord that gives you some flexibility in placement. The installation was almost identical to the indoor models. You can scan the QR code from your phone or directly from the back of the camera using the code on the sticker. It connects to your Wi-Fi network (2.4GHz) and you're good to go. Setup is extremely easy and anyone should be able to master the process; Just follow the instructions. The camera is surprisingly small, making it easy to place even in tight spaces. If you prefer, you can connect it directly to the router with an Ethernet cable, as there is a connector that allows you to connect to an Ethernet network. The reset button has a handy cover so you don't accidentally reset your camera. You get a high quality picture during the day and with a good field of view, you get absolutely fantastic night vision. It was completely dark outside and this camera gave a clear picture even from over 100 feet away! Motion detection was easy to set up and gives you the option to narrow the area of motion detection. I left mine on full coverage, which works best for me, but the good thing is that option is available when needed. You can set up push notifications to be notified when motion is detected and view the detected data on your phone or use optional cloud storage. Overall this camera performs well and the affordable price made it a good choice for me.
