Yes I was surprised but they really work and are great. I very rarely use my Cricut Joy, but I had no intention of buying their $$$ exclusive pens. I bought them Smart Vinyl and there I used these pens to make a label for homemade salsa lol. I was nervous at first because the Smart Vinyl was so shiny and I thought the pens (Sharpie Ultra Fine Point ElectroPop) would slip and not even write, but it wrote great, no skipping. I slipped the pink sleeve over the handle and popped it straight into the Joy. Just remember to give her a second to dry after she's done writing! I hate the fact that Cricut Joy can't "color" anything, so of course you have to draw the outline of what you want and use pens to color it in. , the paper is slippery and you wonder if the color will stay at all, but it does. Just make sure you read the instructions on the little cards that come with this item and your project will be perfect!
