Great flash.

I bought this flash to replace one of my older Godox TT685 flashes and this flash has many improvements over previous models in the range. The round flash head produces a more even spread of light with a softer, more natural flare towards the edges than a traditional Fresnel head. The locking lever on the hot shoe is a welcome addition to their range, the rotating thumb wheel left something to be desired on previous flashes. The fact that it has a lithium battery means you get more flashes on a single charge compared to AA batteries, as well as faster recharge times, meaning less waiting between shots. I also like the fact that the charger connects via USB-C, which allows for fast charging, and I can also connect it to a USB power bank. compared to most chargers that take up space on my surge protector. All in all a great flash and a definite advantage over a similarly shaped Profoto unit. MY ONE FIND PICK is that the flash is only adjustable in 1/10 stop increments versus the usual 1/3 stop increments that most of us are used to in manual mode. I have yet to find a button or setting that can change this and if it is possible please let me know. great flash and a definite advantage over a similarly shaped Profoto unit.
