Waste of money best in sports

Product was defective. Neither side of the patch came off and just separated down the middle. Do not buy this as it is most likely an old defective item that has been in a hot warehouse.

Great easy to apply repair

Loved that my wife, an avid kayaker, was able to complete this repair in about 20 minutes and an hour plus UV curing time outdoors. The repair was simple, straightforward and 100% efficient. The best part is that I didn't get involved in facilitating this repair.

Better than I thought when I used it

I repaired my kayak. I wasn't impressed at first, but I kept going. I also thought I had an old product. I left it in the sun and overnight before daring to check. The next day the patch was welded to the kayak. I sanded it down to blend and refine the edges and it was rock solid. I could have done better but I can't fault the patch.

Good product. A cloudy day is no problem.

Really cool product. I put this on my fishing kayak on a VERY cloudy day in PNW. I was worried this might be a problem (it wasn't), so I amplified the lack of direct sunlight with a cheap UV flashlight (don't know if I need one). The small amount of trimming and casting required to match the radii is only a minor downside compared to the simplicity of the rest of the application.

very durable - Sport

A few weeks ago I put this patch on a badly scratched kayak keel. Since the patch, my kayak has used concrete boat ramps about 10 or more times. Checked it out today, looks great. I am very happy with the Gator Repair Patch and would definitely recommend it. It is very easy to apply in about 15 minutes. We placed the kayak keel up in the sun and in just a few hours it was fully cured. Excellent material!

Hit or miss with quality

I have to agree with what other reviews have said. In some packages, the product may be old? It's on the dry side and somewhat difficult to soften and harden. I had 2 packs, 1 was a bit dry (I opened the numbers first). The second was great. It was wet, easy to handle and left marks on my hands. Very sticky. It also changed color since the instructions said it would work when cured. The first not.

Works great for paddling and sailing

My kayak was 15 years old and didn't realize there was a "soft spot" on the bottom until I came back from a kayak trip and found water in it. I bought the patches, followed the instructions and just applied the patch to the soft spot that had a small gap. I let it dry in the sun and just got back from a ride down the river and it was completely dry. I would highly recommend them for their affordable price, ease of use and durability.

Terrible product on boat

It didn't work as advertised. I followed the directions, cleared the area and sanded my boat fine. Full of anticipation I took the patch out of the packaging and looked forward to repairing the kayak. The patch was quite stiff and didn't fit the contour of the boat. I've tried over and over again and managed to tape or tape it to the counter. It was too hard. I'm not sure if it was defective or what. I expected something soft to follow the outline of the kayak. It never got stuck. I didn't even
