Like a new truck! good for engines

I put up with the fact that "in the heat the passenger door does not automatically close and open" for several years because I knew the electric lock When replacing the actuator, the original function remains ( ie disabling the alarm when using the key) and I didn't want to spend a fortune to buy the entire lock from the dealer. I also thought that there would be a heavy repair. Stumbled upon this article by accident. I bought the passenger side first and noticed how easy it was to install. maybe an hour for EVERYTHING including very slow work and cleaning the door panel after assembly. The part looks almost like the original and looks so close I wouldn't be surprised if an OEM GM build looks like this now. It even included a nice rubber strap that the original didn't have that seems to make the build a little quieter. It looks the same as the original except for the color of part of the assembly and the rubber strip. After installing it, I found that it requires no configuration and works perfectly. So when I noticed that my driver's door was a bit dull on the original lock, I ordered the same for that side as well. and installation was as easy as before. Maybe half an hour this time, since I knew what I was doing. Now both locks work with a nice solid electric movement and manual locking, unlocking and opening the door is perfect. There seems to be a LITTLE different sound when the door is closed. Maybe because of that rubber band? It got quieter. Now it's like I have a new truck again and I don't find myself walking towards an unlocked truck that I thought was locked. I'm a lucky tourist.
