Review on ASUS VG27WQ1B: Adaptive Sync DisplayPort, 2560X1440P, Eye Care, Built-In Speakers, Flicker-Free, Blue Light Filter, HDMI - Product Search by Andrew Whiteman

Revainrating 3 out of 5

An odd number of ghosts. There is no value for money.

So I am very embarrassed to see this monitor like this. I've had ASUS monitors for a while and they've all been great so far. On the downside, after some tweaking, the monitor's color is good, the refresh rate is as advertised, and the 1440p resolution looks really good in images that really push the monitor's limits. On the downside, there are some issues that just can't be fixed (and I've spent hours on the monitor with settings, NVIDIA settings, ICC profiles, etc., so I'm not just saying it after checking the settings in the FPS mode and choose to cry about it on the internet) This monitor has really serious problems with ghosting and dimming while moving. I spend most of my time playing R6S, CSGO, Tarkov, etc. Fast paced games where graphics are important. The problem I have is that when rotating or translating, the brighter pixels are randomly dimmed many times. So when there is light text on a dark background and I scroll the page, the text becomes illegibly dark and has a lot of halos. that the same thing happens in games etc. It's just crap on an expensive monitor. I have a friend who has the same specs for his MSI monitor and doesn't experience it at all and even when I was playing on his screen you could tell he didn't have this problem at all and his monitor cost less money. So just a fair warning to anyone looking at this product. I was hoping to return it and it looks like the return date has already passed. Lesson learned I think. I wish you success.
