Not sure why other reviewers had issues with these silicon switches. Maybe they fixed it? I do not know. They seem almost the same as OG switches to me. Perhaps users are used to a soft feel when their old drives wear out? I swapped the R1/R2 and Circle/Triangle/Square/X buttons on my OG Day One controllers. They will NOT work on newer versions of the controller. I'm sure the form is different if you have a newer version of the controller. For me they fit my old Day One controller perfectly. The silicone parts look pretty much the same as the originals with only minor differences here and there and are perfect for me. Just got it and installed it and tried it with no problems. It took about ten minutes although the R1/R2 silicone was a bit tricky to get a perfect fit (needed to align two silicone pins in the tiny holes and make sure the lip was seated properly etc. I needed tweezers to get it right make). Even though I haven't tried them in a while, I don't see why they won't last as long as the originals as the silicone texture seems identical to me. I really don't understand what other people mean when they say they feel plastic. They seem to me to be exactly the same rubber silicone. However, the black contacts look thinner than the OGs and don't have the ridges of the OGs. I don't know if this will be a problem and possibly make some people feel differently, but I haven't felt any difference myself. Maybe I'm too dirty to notice. I do not know.
