Silicone Conductive Rubber Pads for Sony Playstation 4 PS4 Controller: Ambertown 1 Set - Repair/Replace Dualshock 4 Buttons Review

Bought two sets of these as my dpad buttons were worn out from playing Dragon Ball FighterZ for too long and I wouldn't say I would recommend them as replacements. Tried Dpad replacements on both kits and both had the same problem: they had almost no tactile feedback when pressing the buttons. So for me there was almost no difference when gaming on these dapad keys compared to the native keys which I initially wore out.

You may only need a few pieces from this set, but it has everything you need. Your shoulder buttons, you may not need new pads at all. On earlier models of the PS4 controller, the backs of the buttons may cut into the silicone pads and cut a small slit, causing the buttons to lose sensitivity. Convince yourself before you buy! You may still need this kit, but your buttons will continue to cause the same crashes if you don't fix this problem.

1. I bought this specifically for the R2 shoulder button, the pressure sensor didn't work. Found that the rubber seal was torn. I received them and 1 rubber gasket was missing which wasn't the killer as I only had to replace the correct one. It doesn't look like the original pillow in shape or design, but I fitted it. Works but not from a plastic bag as it WILL NOT FIT! I shouldn't trip over it too much, but I need to trim it a little so it fits nice and snug and at least the buttons/triggers work properly. When I play Call of Duty I feel like I need to push harder and cut a little bit more. But it works, just terribly differently. Not sure why other reviewers had issues with these silicon switches. Maybe they fixed it? I do not know. They seem almost the same as OG switches to me. Perhaps users are used to a soft feel when their old drives wear out? I swapped the R1/R2 and Circle/Triangle/Square/X buttons on my OG Day One controllers. They will NOT work on newer versions of the controller. I'm sure the form is different if you have a newer version of the controller. For me they fit my old Day One controller perfectly…

I bought this kit to replace the R1/R2 conductive pad on a friend's DualShock 4 (CHU-ZCT2) controller. The last is larger than the factory and will need trimming to fit properly. After testing showed that registering required the button to be fully depressed, I examined the underside of the pad and noticed that the black button that contacts the tape track is higher in the pad than it was on the factory pad (hence the reason it needs to be pushed all the way down).
