Almost non-absorbent
If you just want a slightly softer stick, this is the tampon for you. If you want something that can absorb or hold liquid, choose something else. The end of the tampon is VERY densely packed leaving very little room for anything else. It can be made more absorbent by "ruffling" the tip to loosen the fibers. The wood is very thin and tends to break. The best option for this is to position it perfectly perpendicular to the surface. If it is at an angle, it will most likely break.
