FRAM CF 11775 fit was too loose. The filter moved from side to side. I used two layers (.05" x 2) of 2-ply 3M 03615 autoform tape that was cut to size to expand the filter. This caused the filter to slip. I can still smell exhaust fumes through this filter. This filter has fewer pleats, 28 compared to Ford's 45, which reduces capacity or lifespan due to less filter media in the same area. When it comes to air filtration, assembly is everything. It was a disappointment that it had to be altered to get the right fit. I love the look of this filter and it seems well done in terms of build. I paid $13.97 which is a lot better than the $28 from the Ford dealer. A better filter would be the German Ford micronAir proTect, which is not available in the US. .
