Review on VTech LS916 Retro Handset by Nancy Bryant

As this is the fourth retro styled phone I've bought I figured the VTech product would have the quality that I am used to from other products. The phone arrived in lovely retail packaging and as it was my mum's Christmas present not only did it make wrapping easier it made opening the present a lot more fun. The phone had easily distinguishable buttons and was finished in nice glossy plastic that I thought would last longer than all other retro phones with a matte finish that peels off after a year or so. Upon opening it, my mom remarked that the phone had a very comfortable weight balance, but that was the last nice word to say about the VTech Retro phone. Attempting to answer a call was answered with a sudden mute and the call/end button didn't work. Connecting to my phone automatically disconnected incoming calls on the second call when the phone turned on the music player. The call/end button on my phone didn't work either, and the handset was packaged for return so quickly I didn't even have time to take a picture of it out of the box. For what it's worth, photos represent the look of phones much more accurately than product descriptions reflect product quality.
