As an optometrist I recommend this for Demodex

This is a handy product, albeit a little pricey, for treating Demodex folliculorum (a tiny mite that lives in the meibomian glands or eyelash follicles). Of course, you should see an optometrist or ophthalmologist to confirm any eye-related diagnoses. However, I have to say that my colleagues often overlook Demodex or confuse it with other conditions (such as seborrheic or bacterial blepharitis, for which I would recommend the cheaper OcuSOFT product). The manufacturer recommends using the wipes twice a day for a month. There are 24 bags in a box. Rather than buying two boxes, I would cut open each pack of towels and save half for later use (should be more than enough). As stated in the comments section, a box of 24 doesn't cost exactly a month, but don't get too hung up on that as 3.4 weeks should be enough in most cases. Be careful not to touch your eyes with tissues as it stings a bit. Close your eyes and gently pat the area around your lashes. Even then, the fumes can be enough at first to cause tears. This is normal and most will get used to it after a few uses. Your eyelids may be slightly red, but this should only be temporary. Significant swelling lasting more than an hour likely indicates an allergic reaction and the product should be discontinued. 40 ounces of shampoo (like baby shampoo) and a 1-2 minute lash scrub, again being careful not to get in your eyes.
