Really important to have this or something VERY similar. It is very difficult to wrap cupcakes with icing and not damage them in transit. I didn't want to spend money, but I liked the product - and it was very easy to stack and serve. I can't REALLY attest to long term durability as the ones I've used have only made a round trip from my kitchen. I hand washed because I didn't want to risk the plastic warping in the dishwasher. They seem to be a little stronger than the grocery store versions. Also, my grocery store seems to only sell 12 mini cupcakes at a time; and instead they fit 24 - which was perfect for me. The plastic is NOT strong enough to open and then try to hold all 24 cupcakes by one edge. it will bend and probably crumble. Use two hands and/or a flat surface for best results!
